John Lennon and The Quarry Men play in Rosebery Street, 22 June 57.


Paul McCartney
meets John Lennon and The Quarry Men at Woolton's Fête on July 6th.

Paul joins the band and plays with them for the first time at New Clubmoor Hall, Liverpool, on October 18th.

George Harrison joins the Quarry Men in early 1958.  He plays here with John and Paul at Auntie Gin's house for a wedding (Auntie Gin was Paul's aunt).

The Quarry Men had their first gig at the Casbah Coffee Club on August 29th. Then they had 6 more engagements in September for playing at that place.

October 1959

Johnny & The Moondogs

Line-up: John Lennon (vocal, guitar), Paul McCartney (vocal, guitar), George Harrison (guitar).
After a disagreement with Ken Brown who quits the Quarry Men, the group re-christen themselves Johnny & The Moondogs (for an audition).
